Vinque Antique is an interpretation of a nineteenth century Arts & Crafts revival of medieval lettering with a rustic texture. Most current Latin based languages are supported as well as Greek and Cyrillic. OpenType fractions, f-ligatures and old-style numerals are included. In OpenType savvy applications, three texture variations of alphanumerics (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) are automatically shuffled to create a more natural effect. You can toggle your application’s standard ligatures feature to disable this effect.

Although the lettering design doesn’t resemble anything that was probably used in Singapore at the time, its faux “exotic” look still makes for an interesting revival.
