Milky Skies is like a typewriter that was out in the rain all night - all wobbly and worn, but with the well-known details of a typewriter, just a bit…well a lot…out of the ordinary!
Although being awkward, Milky Skies is surprisingly legible. I’d like that the font should be used for labels, toys for kids, candy or any kind of organic product. It even looks really well with headlines or shoutouts in all-caps!

Immediately our minds were blown away by its beauty and thus we decided to design a new font inspired by its sharp and geometric design adding new weights and OpenType features. In the process we realized that both Dynamo and one of our favorite fonts Avant Garde, share a similar structure, so we made a type mashup between these beauties, including the sharpness of Dynamo and the revolutionary ligatures of Avant Garde. Designed by Jeff Levine, Road Picture JNL is a display sans and hand display font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts . Road Picture JNL Road Picture JNL was modeled after the hand lettered title and credits for the 1940 Bob Hope-Bing Crosby semi-musical comedy “Road to Singapore”, and is available in both regular and oblique versions. Although the lettering design doesn’t resemble anything that was probably used in Singapore at the time, its faux “exotic” look still makes for an interesting revival.
